You sit warm and dry behind large panoramic windows while the rest of the harbour glides past in rain or wind. You get your own space on the water, enjoying the harbour in your own little bubble. The boat is built like the classic GoBoat, but wrapped in a transparent material that keeps out rain, wind and cold, so you can still sail even when the skies change.<\/p>\n
Unzip the side of the Pod so everyone can climb aboard and set off from Islands Brygge. Zip it up to close your Pod space, then decide the rest of the trip yourselves. You steer the boat without a boating licence or any previous experience, just as in the open GoBoat, only with a roof over your head and peace of mind. We give you instructions before departure so you can set off safely. Up to eight people can join, whether adults, children or babies. The trip suits a group of friends, a family with little ones, an evening outing for two (such as a date) or a different kind of afternoon after work. Dogs are also welcome aboard.<\/p>\n
You head out into the main harbour and choose whether to sail towards Sydhavnen or north past the Opera House and Amalienborg. Both directions give you plenty of harbour to enjoy along the way. The Pod cannot enter narrow canals such as Frederiksholms Kanal or Christianshavns Kanal because the bridges are too low for the covered boat. Instead, there is plenty of room in the broad main harbour to sail at your own pace.<\/p>\n
A physical map is ready in the boat, and the same map is available digitally on your phone, so you always know where you are and where you can sail. On board you will find blankets for your lap, life jackets for everyone and atmospheric lighting that makes it cosy to look out as the city and harbour drift past in a different light from the view on land.<\/p>\n
If you would like a little more activity, you can add GoBoat Dysten, a friendly competition on the water involving quizzes, humming and miming, whether you are young or a little older.<\/p>\n
You may bring your own food and drinks, or put together a picnic basket with delicious drinks, snacks and wine from the shop before setting off. In collaboration with TS Sm\u00f8rrebr\u00f8d, we offer open sandwiches and sandwiches. Through Winter Islands, you can also add \u00e6bleskiver and mulled wine in November and December. The electric motor is silent, so conversation can continue uninterrupted without anyone having to raise their voice over an engine.<\/p>\n
